What is important to know before the procedure?
How to prepare the skin?
Before the sugaring procedure, you need to take a shower and pay special attention to the areas of the body where the procedure will take place. The steam and water will help open the pores of the skin, making the hair removal process more effective and less painful. This simple action will help avoid irritation and inflammation. No special products are required: just water and your usual shower gel. A couple of days before the procedure, you should use a body scrub to exfoliate dead skin cells and stimulate blood circulation. On the day of the procedure, it is advisable not to use perfume, sprays or greasy creams. The piquant moment is menstruation. It is not a contraindication for the sugaring procedure. However, pain during this period may intensify due to a lower pain threshold.
What is the ideal hair length?
The optimal length for sugaring is 4-5 mm, that is, two weeks after the razor, if we are talking about the primary procedure. This length allows the procedure to be carried out with the highest quality and comfort for the client. If the length is shorter, then there will be no net result.
What not to do before the procedure?
Avoid visiting the solarium or the beach 2 days before and 2 days after sugaring.
It is not recommended to use scrubs or peels before the sugaring procedure, as this can damage the top layer of skin and cause inflammation. Also, do not use creams and lotions containing oils and fatty components, as this will complicate the hair removal process.
Allergic reaction, cuts, wounds and burns in the depilation area. In this case, the visit should be rescheduled until the skin is completely restored.
